Writing Fellows Ready to Rock

It’s the beginning of the year and every student is probably worried about the essays they will have to write over the next nine months. However, the Writing Center is here to help with the induction of the new Writing Fellows.

Last year's Writing Fellows enjoy free pizza.

Writing Fellows are hand-picked mentors that help any student with being and effective writer. No matter the complexity of the paper, they are selected from the best students writers and to peer-mentor anyone who needs help.

Some of the services they offer to their fellow students are: helping with the paper planning process, tutoring students on structural issues in essays, aiding in producing a clear argument and help with correctly arranging research.

The Writing Fellows go through a unique training program after they are selected so they can share their gifts in a professional and effective manner. Many students would rather be helped by a peer than seek out a professor, and many times professors are busy. The Writing Fellows are here to fill in the gaps left when students have questions and need answers.
